frozen beef steaks (medium size) — 4 pieces
olive oil — 4 tablespoons (60 ml)
salt — a pinch
pepper — a pinch
rosemary garlic butter (optional) — to taste
👨🍳 Steps
1Preheat the oven to 135°C (275°F). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a metal rack on top.
2In a large skillet, heat olive oil over high heat. Add the frozen steaks and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until nicely browned.
3Transfer the seared steaks to the prepared rack. Season generously with salt and pepper. Bake for 20-30 minutes, depending on thickness and desired doneness.
4Remove steaks from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare the rosemary garlic butter: mix softened butter with chopped rosemary and minced garlic.
5Place a pat of flavored butter on each steak. Slice against the grain and serve immediately.
