🥘 Ingredients

seasoned breadcrumbs — 1 cup (120g)
bell pepper, finely chopped — 1/4 cup
green onions, chopped — 2
mayonnaise — 1/4 cup (60g)
egg — 1
garlic powder — 1 teaspoon
cayenne pepper (or hot paprika) — 1/2 teaspoon
canned crab meat, drained — 340g (2 cans)
lemon (optional, for serving) — 1

👨‍🍳 Steps

1Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 5 minutes.
2Place 2/3 of the breadcrumbs (about 80g) in a shallow dish and set aside.
3In a mixing bowl, combine the remaining 1/3 breadcrumbs with bell pepper, green onions, mayonnaise, egg, garlic powder, and cayenne. Finally, gently fold in the drained crab meat to keep chunks.
4Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a ball, then gently press to form a patty.
5Coat each patty in the reserved breadcrumbs, covering all sides evenly.
6Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick spray. Arrange patties in a single layer without overlapping (cook in two batches if needed).
7Cook at 190°C (370°F) for 8 minutes, carefully flipping halfway (after 4 minutes) and spraying again with oil.
8Serve hot and crispy with lemon wedges and optionally tartar sauce.
