1Rinse and drain the chickpeas well.
2For extra crunch, press the drained chickpeas between paper towels or a kitchen towel to dry thoroughly.
3Place the dried chickpeas in a bowl and drizzle with 2 teaspoons of oil. Toss to coat evenly.
4Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 2-3 minutes with the basket empty.
5Spread the chickpeas in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
6Cook for 5 minutes, then shake the basket. Cook another 5 minutes and shake again.
7Check the chickpeas – add 2-3 more minutes if you want them crunchier (13 minutes total is recommended).
8Transfer the hot chickpeas to a bowl, add the remaining teaspoon of oil and chosen seasonings. Toss well.
9Serve immediately, while warm and crispy.
