Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Wings with Baking Powder

Incredibly crispy chicken wings made in the Air Fryer with a simple trick: baking powder. The result is a golden, tender crust without needing much oil.

🥘 Ingredients

chicken wings — 900 g (2 lbs)
baking powder — 1 tablespoon
salt — to taste
pepper — to taste
olive oil spray (optional) — as needed

👨‍🍳 Steps

1Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove moisture from the skin.
2Preheat the Air Fryer to 190°C (375°F) for 5 minutes.
3Sprinkle baking powder evenly on both sides of the wings, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
4Place the wings in the Air Fryer basket in a single layer. Lightly spray with olive oil. Cook for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through.
5Increase temperature to 200°C (400°F) and cook for another 5 minutes until very crispy. Serve with your favorite sauce.
