apples (preferably Elstar, Jonagold or Pink Lady) — 2
teaspoon ground cinnamon — 1/2
teaspoon sugar or vanilla sugar (optional) — 1/2

1Wash the apples thoroughly and remove the core. The peel can be left on or off – for the crispiest chips, leave the peel on. Slice the apples as thinly as possible, almost transparent (the thinner, the crispier).
2Preheat the air fryer to 160°C (320°F).
3Arrange the apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping. Sprinkle with cinnamon and, if desired, a little sugar. Cook at 160°C for 15-20 minutes, turning the slices halfway through.
4Let the chips cool completely after cooking – this step is essential for them to become perfectly crispy.
