🥘 Ingredients

chicken pieces (or free-range chicken) — 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs)
full-bodied red wine (e.g., Burgundy) — 750 ml (3 cups)
smoked bacon — 150 g (5.3 oz)
white mushrooms, sliced — 200 g (7 oz)
carrots, sliced into rounds — 3
small onions (or 2 medium onions) — 12
garlic cloves, crushed — 2
bouquet garni — 1
olive oil — 2 tablespoons
tablespoon flour — 1

👨‍🍳 Steps

1Marinate the chicken pieces overnight (or at least 1 hour) in the red wine, together with the crushed garlic, bouquet garni, sliced carrots and onions.
2Strain the chicken and vegetables, reserving the wine. Cook the smoked bacon and sliced mushrooms in the Air Fryer at 180°C (360°F) for 5–7 minutes.
3Transfer the marinated chicken, vegetables, cooked bacon and mushrooms to an Air Fryer-safe dish. Drizzle with olive oil.
4Pour 2 ladles of the reserved wine over the mixture. Dissolve the flour in a splash of wine and stir it into the mixture.
5Cook at 180°C (360°F) for 45 minutes, stirring gently halfway through.
6Let the dish rest for 10 minutes before serving.
