Chicken and Bell Pepper Empanadas in Air Fryer

🥘 Ingredients

chicken breast — 500 g (1.1 lb)
bell pepper (any color) — 1
onion — 1
garlic cloves — 2
empanada dough (round, pre-made) — 1 package
olive oil — 2 tablespoons
salt and pepper — to taste
sweet paprika — 1 teaspoon

👨‍🍳 Steps

1Cut chicken breast, bell pepper, and onion into small cubes.
2Finely chop garlic cloves.
3Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
4Add chicken cubes and cook until lightly browned.
5Add bell pepper, salt, pepper, and paprika; cook for 5 more minutes, stirring occasionally.
6Let the filling cool slightly.
7Place a heaping tablespoon of filling on each empanada dough disc.
8Fold dough over filling and seal edges with a fork.
9Preheat air fryer to 180°C (350°F).
10Place empanadas in the air fryer basket in a single layer (cook in batches if needed).
11Cook for 15 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crispy.
