🥘 Ingredients
rack (approx. 1.1-1.5 lbs) pork spare ribs — 1
olive oil — 1-2 tbsp (15-30 ml)
smoked paprika — 2 tsp
garlic powder — 1 tsp
onion powder — 1 tsp
black pepper — 1 tsp
salt — 1 tsp
cayenne (optional) — ½ tsp
BBQ sauce (optional, for glaze) — ½ cup (120 ml)
👨🍳 Steps
1Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs, then pat them dry with paper towels.
2Brush the ribs all over with olive oil and generously sprinkle the spice mixture (smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne if using).
3Preheat the air fryer to 190°C (375°F) for 3-5 minutes. Place the ribs in the basket, meat side down, in a single layer.
4Cook in the air fryer for 12-15 minutes, then flip and cook another 12-15 minutes. In the last 5 minutes, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce for a caramelized glaze.
5Check internal temperature – it should reach 190-203°F (88-95°C). Let the ribs rest for 5-10 minutes before cutting and serving.
