Steps

  1. 1

Wash the pumpkin. Cut it in half crosswise, then remove seeds and fibers with a spoon. Cut each half into 2-4 slices. Do not peel.

  2. 2

Preheat air fryer to 205°C (400°F). Place pumpkin slices in the basket, leaving space for air circulation. Optionally, sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on the skin side down.

  3. 3

Roast in air fryer at 205°C (400°F) for 15 minutes.

  4. 4

Turn slices and continue roasting for another 12-15 minutes at the same temperature – for lighter caramelization, reduce to 5 minutes.

  5. 5

Check doneness: pumpkin is done when fork-tender and caramelized spots appear.

  6. 6

Serve roasted slices as is. The skin peels off easily after roasting.
