How to make Air Fryer Sweet Potato Hash

Air Fryer Sweet Potato Hash

Prep Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 50 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp salt;
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper;
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil;
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped;
  • 60g (2oz) yellow onion, chopped;
  • 2 slices bacon, cut into pieces;
  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into small cubes.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato cubes with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Place the sweet potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 375°F (190°C) for about 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking, until the sweet potatoes are tender and crispy.
  4. While the sweet potatoes are cooking, cook the bacon pieces in a skillet over medium heat until they start to crisp. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving a small amount of bacon fat in the skillet.
  5. In the same skillet, add the chopped garlic and onion. Sauté until they are soft and translucent.
  6. Once the sweet potatoes are done, add them to the skillet with the garlic and onion. Stir in the cooked bacon pieces and mix everything together until well combined. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
  7. Serve the smoky sweet potato hash hot, ideally topped with a fried egg if you’re up for a hearty breakfast.

Enjoy your Air Fryer Sweet Potato Hash, a delightful and flavorful dish that’s perfect for any morning!
