Ingredients:

  • 5 tbsp strawberry jam or preserve;
  • 400g ready-rolled shortcrust pastry;
  • 100g cream cheese, softened;
  • 2 tbsp cornflour;
  • 1 tsp sugar;
  • Vegetable oil cooking spray;
  • 1 tsp sprinkles.

Instructions:

  1. Start by mixing the strawberry jam with the cornflour in a small bowl.
  2. Take the ready-rolled shortcrust pastry and cut it into six equal rectangles.
  3. Spread about 1 tablespoon of the jam mixture onto one half of each rectangle.
  4. Fold the pastry over to create the tart shape, pressing the edges with a fork to seal them.
  5. Before baking, spray the tarts lightly with vegetable oil cooking spray.
  6. Bake the tarts in the air fryer at 375°F for 8 to 10 minutes until golden.
  7. While the tarts are cooling, whip together the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  8. Once the tarts are cool, add a dollop of the cream cheese mixture on top and sprinkle with sprinkles.

Tip: Allow the tarts to cool before adding the frosting to prevent it from melting.
