- 1 pound large sea scallops
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Rinse the scallops under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Remove the tough side muscle if still attached.
- Season the scallops with salt and pepper on both sides.
