Ingredients

  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 ½ cups plain flour (190g | 6.7oz)
  • 1 whole chicken, prepared into breasts, thighs, wings, legs
  • 1 cup hot sauce (240ml | 8floz)
  • 1 cup buttermilk (240ml | 8floz)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, pour buttermilk and hot sauce over chicken. Mix well and marinate in fridge for 1-24 hours.
  2. In a shallow bowl, whisk together flour, salt, garlic powder, and cayenne.
  3. Line the air fryer basket or racks with parchment paper.
  4. Remove chicken from marinade and coat with flour mixture. Place in air fryer in basket or racks (you may need to work in batches).
  5. Cook at 205°C (400°F) for 25 minutes, turning halfway through the cooking process. Check chicken with a thermometer to make sure internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
